- screen always on
xset -dpmsxset s 0 0xset s noblank- (it appears these settings do not stick on reboot)
- disable laptop lid from doing anything
- edit
/etc/systemd/logind.conf, and change#HandleLidSwitch=suspendtoHandleLidSwitch=ignore
- disable screensaver in GUI
