  • waterproof is better
  • smaller is better
  • stream to disk in realtime
  • ideally 4K 120fps
  • give up resolution before fps

Go Pro 10 and friends

  • GoPro Bones isn't waterproof
  • GoPro 8 and 9 would work but the price difference doesn't warrant
    • GoPro 10 can do 4K at 120fps
  • Go Pro 10: $350 on GoPro site
  • Go Pro 10 overheats without a fan. one possible fan case maybe

Other options

  • this sony has great fps and hdmi streaming. Manual says will overheat in 45 minutes
  • this one has good specs

In the $2K to $6K range there are cameras that do high fps at excellent resolution. Issues:

  • Communication: there is some sort of standardized api
  • streaming: unclear what their streaming rates are and that never seems to be in the specs
  • not waterproof — too fragile for rugged outdoors

Some choices:

* Axis Q1615 2.8-8.5mm lens

* one possibility: Vivotek IB9391 (around $1K) - wide angle lens (10mm?)

  • black magic cinimacam but not waterproof
  • $3K Panasonic AG-CX350PJ
  • black magic aten mini
  • MFT and EF between studio cameras
  • EF is for canon with large variety of lenses to use
  • MFT for cinema-style lenses
  • IP camera: they all seem to come with fisheye lenses?
  • ps5eye
